This Sewing Workshop is a class designed to help you get started on a project, or help you continue working on a project that you need help with. This workshop will allow you to confidently get your project mapped out, or work through a problem. We'll address topics such as working with difficult fabrics, measuring and making alterations, replacing a zipper, hemming and hand sewing. If you're stuck on a project that is underway, for example maybe you have a pattern and fabric that you have started to make something out of, but the directions are confusing, you'll receive hands-on help in working through the steps.
Please bring basic sewing supplies, including thread, machine and hand sewing needles, straight pins, fabric scissors, measuring tape, a seam ripper and some scrap fabric to test stitches on and please bring your own sewing machine.
Sewing is very satisfying and can be so rewarding! Come to this class and your instructor will help you get past that stumbling block to a place of pride and confidence! You will leave saying, “look what I made!”
